The Veracity Industry Cloud Platform helps our customers with the necessary digital tools and platform capabilities for cohesive data-driven solutions. Veracity has a strong presence in Norway, Poland and China, providing digital expertise with high quality and efficiency. From ideation to creation, we help our customers to build and maintain their digital service or product on the Veracity platform. We provide an experienced and competent team who will support our customers digital journey through all the stages of their product’s development and maintenance. 

About the role

As our platform continues to grow and evolve, we seek a skilled and visionary Platform Architect to help us navigate the complexities of building a secure, high-performing, and future-proof digital ecosystem. This is a pivotal role that will directly influence the architectural direction of our platform. Based at our DNV headquarters in Høvik, Norway, you will work with a dynamic team of experts to design and implement robust cloud solutions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to suggest architecture, conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs), and provide valuable feedback to the product team. Your deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure will be essential in driving our cloud initiatives going forward.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Architectural Design: Shape thecloud architecture to align with both business objectives and best practice while ensuring scalability and security.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Platform Leadership team, Product Managers, Tech Leads, Project Managers, and major stakeholders inside DNV to deliver outstanding results and drive the evolution of our platform.
  • Proof of Concept (POC): Conduct and drive POCs to validate architectural decisions and ensure feasibility.
  • Strategic Feedback: Provide actionable and insightful feedback to the product team, enhancing product features, performance, and customer value.
  • Azure Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and solutions.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members in cloud technologies and best practice to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous growth.

About you

What we’re looking for:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Architecture Experience: Over 5 years of experience in platform or software architecture, with a successful history of designing and implementing complex, scalable systems.
  • Cloud Expertise: In-depth experience with leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, along with a solid understanding of architectural frameworks.
  • Development Proficiency: Strong skills in both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • API & Data Management: Comprehensive understanding of API management, data platforms, application networks, and integration frameworks.
  • Design Patterns & Security: Expertise in software design patterns, security protocols, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Performance & Optimization: Experience in optimization, and risk management within software architecture.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, with an emphasis on collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience in agile methodologies, including Scrum and iterative development, with a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Experience in enabling AI workloads in complex systems.
